Fellowships, broadly defined, fund purposeful activity.
To be more specific, fellowships can fund (among other things) language study abroad, undergraduate and postgraduate research, service opportunities, graduate and professional study, independent projects, teaching (both in the U.S. and abroad)... the possibilities are endless, which can be both inspiring and intimidating! Career Education and the Fellowships team are here to help you navigate, no matter where you’re starting or where you hope to go.

There’s no wrong place to start a fellowships search. You may have an idea of what you might like to do; you may wonder what fellowships are available to you; or you might have no idea even what questions to ask! We have resources for no matter where you are in the fellowships process.

The Wellesley Fellowships team congratulates all our fellowship awardees, nominees, and honorable mentions! In these applying for fellowships and scholarships, these students and graduates dared to articulate their present interests and their hopes and dreams for the future.
Luce Scholars Program - direct application deadline
Eligibility: Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Candidates may be graduating seniors, recent graduates, or young professionals under the age of 32, OR if older than 32, candidates must have received their bachelor's degree within the past three years. Candidates who have spent a significant amount of time (18 weeks or more since beginning college) in more than one of the countries where we place Luce Scholars are not eligible to apply for the Luce. Candidates who have spent 18 weeks or more (since beginning college) in only one of the countries where we place Luce Scholars are eligible to apply but will not be placed in the country where they have spent significant time.
The Luce Scholars Program was launched by the Henry Luce Foundation in 1974 to enhance the understanding of Asia among potential leaders in American society. Open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents, the Luce Scholars Program provides leadership training, stipends, language training, and individualized professional placement in Asia for up to 18 Luce Scholars each year. Commonwealth Caribbean Rhodes Scholarship - direct application deadline
Eligible: graduating seniors and recent graduates from the Commonwealth Caribbean, in any field.
The Rhodes Trust, based at the University of Oxford, brings together and develops exceptional people from all over the world, and in all fields of study, who are impatient with the way things are and have the courage to act. There is one Rhodes Scholarship available each year for the Commonwealth Caribbean, which covers Anguilla, Antigua, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Montserrat, St Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent, Trindad...

Teaching Fellowships
One of the common “purposeful activities” that fellowships can fund is teaching: in the U.S. or abroad; opportunities with or without previous teaching experience; and at all levels of instruction, from elementary school to university level and beyond. United Arab Emirates Rhodes Scholarship - direct application deadline
Eligible: graduating seniors and recent graduates from the United Arab Emirates, in any field.
The Rhodes Trust, based at the University of Oxford, brings together and develops exceptional people from all over the world, and in all fields of study, who are impatient with the way things are and have the courage to act. Each year, there are two Scholarships available for the United Arab Emirates, to support postgraduate study at Oxford.

Saudi Arabia Rhodes Scholarship - direct application deadline
Eligible: graduating seniors and recent graduates from Saudi Arabia, in any field.
The Rhodes Trust, based at the University of Oxford, brings together and develops exceptional people from all over the world, and in all fields of study, who are impatient with the way things are and have the courage to act. There are two Scholarships available for Saudi Arabia each year, to support postgraduate study at Oxford.
