Fellowships, broadly defined, fund purposeful activity.
To be more specific, fellowships can fund (among other things) language study abroad, undergraduate and postgraduate research, service opportunities, graduate and professional study, independent projects, teaching (both in the U.S. and abroad)... the possibilities are endless, which can be both inspiring and intimidating! Career Education and the Fellowships team are here to help you navigate, no matter where you’re starting or where you hope to go.

There’s no wrong place to start a fellowships search. You may have an idea of what you might like to do; you may wonder what fellowships are available to you; or you might have no idea even what questions to ask! We have resources for no matter where you are in the fellowships process.

Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program - expected campus application deadline

The McNair Scholars Program is a federal TRIO program funded at 187 institutions across the United States and Puerto Rico by the U.S. Department of Education. At Wellesley, the McNair Scholars Program is STEM focused: join great cohort of your Wellesley sibs to learn together and support one another!

The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship - campus deadline!
Eligible: sophomores & juniors in STEM fields who are U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents.
The mission of the Goldwater Scholarship is to help develop the nation’s next generation of researchers in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering, by awarding scholarships to college sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue research careers in these fields.

CV (curriculum vitae) Guidelines

Your CV or curriculum vitae is similar to your resume. It clearly represents your current and past experiences and accomplishments so that your reader can understand the unique value that you bring to a job/internship/academic program. A few important differences to keep in mind about your CV are outlined in this document, along with helpful tips for format and content.
