Fellowships, broadly defined, fund purposeful activity.
To be more specific, fellowships can fund (among other things) language study abroad, undergraduate and postgraduate research, service opportunities, graduate and professional study, independent projects, teaching (both in the U.S. and abroad)... the possibilities are endless, which can be both inspiring and intimidating! Career Education and the Fellowships team are here to help you navigate, no matter where you’re starting or where you hope to go.

There’s no wrong place to start a fellowships search. You may have an idea of what you might like to do; you may wonder what fellowships are available to you; or you might have no idea even what questions to ask! We have resources for no matter where you are in the fellowships process.

The Wellesley Fellowships team congratulates all our fellowship awardees, nominees, and honorable mentions! In these applying for fellowships and scholarships, these students and graduates dared to articulate their present interests and their hopes and dreams for the future.

U.S. Rhodes Scholarship - campus application deadline
Eligible: graduating seniors and recent graduates in any field who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or current DACA recipients.
The Rhodes Trust, based at the University of Oxford, brings together and develops exceptional people from all over the world, and in all fields of study, who are impatient with the way things are and have the courage to act. Each year, there are thirty-two Scholarship available for the United States, to support postgraduate study at Oxford.

Service Fellowships

Service is at the very heart of Wellesley’s motto, and fellowships can support all kinds of service in the world: in the U.S. and abroad; for undergraduates and graduates; with structured opportunities, placement with NGOs, or “build your own” projects. This resource is by no means exhaustive, but instead aims to provide an introduction to some of the most common fellowships as well as some helpful first steps.
Travel Fellowships

Fellowships fund purposeful activity—all over the world! Travel fellowships are available to both undergraduates and graduates, can fund structured opportunities or “build your own adventure” independent projects, can be open to citizens of any nation and applicants from any major, and can fund research, language study, graduate study, teaching, and service… to name just a few! McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill - campus deadline to declare intention to apply
Eligible: candidates in all fields, from any country, planning to apply in the same application cycle for admission to a full-time master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill University.
The new McCall MacBain Scholarships seek to bring together exceptional students who strive to engage in positive change by taking on meaningful leadership roles. McCall MacBain Scholars connect with mentors and participate in an interdisciplinary leadership program while pursuing a fully funded master’s or professional degree at McGill University!
