The McNair Scholars Program is a federal TRIO program funded at 187 institutions across the United States and Puerto Rico by the U.S. Department of Education. At Wellesley, the McNair Scholars Program is STEM focused, and applications are typically due in November each year.

The James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace is designed to provide a substantive work experience for students who have a serious career interest in the area of international affairs. Approximately 12 students will be hired to work at the Carnegie Endowment in Washington, DC, on a full-time basis for one year. The mission of the Goldwater Scholarship is to help develop the nation’s next generation of researchers in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering, by awarding scholarships to college sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue research careers in these fields.
