Fellowships for the Social Sciences

Crafting a proposal is a very introspective process. I was challenged to understand my motivations and interest in death and dying, then explain how those have informed my life’s course. From this, I gained a deeper sense of myself, academically and personally, which was rewarding in and of itself.

“The The Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program will give me a community of like-minded thinkers and builders who were on a similar mission to make research more actionable, accessible, and applicable to the everyday realities of those whom we ‘research.’”

"I realized that there was so much to my story that aligned with the Knight-Hennessy Scholarship without trying to fit a particular mold. I'd suggest other students think deeply about their values – the Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program is very much a value-driven community, just like Wellesley – and share their global mission."

“The Watson Fellowship is the opportunity of a lifetime... it’s brought me to places I’d never dreamed of visiting, given me friends in every corner of the world, and allowed me to not just visit, but truly inhabit, incredible communities in other cultures.”
