Mercedes (she/her) is the Associate Director of Civic Engagement here at Wellesley. She received her bachelors in Geology from Bryn Mawr College. Although rocks are great, Mercedes chose a different path after graduation. As a first-generation college student and Posse scholar, Mercedes spent much of her time at Bryn Mawr invested in community building and supporting institutional change. Her undergraduate career ignited her passion for social justice, community engagement, and connection. Mercedes spent the next few years growing as a non-profit professional in both youth development and marine sciences fields.

In her free time, Mercedes loves to tinker in the kitchen trying out new recipes, binge podcasts, and play rugby for a local women’s team.
